The winner, taken from a survey of "33 singers in several genres", was a duo called Vibe. Interesting to note that the majority of winners are male artists. In the J-Pop world, I can bet that the majority would be female singers like Ayumi Hamasaki and BoA. I'll have to give Vibe's album a listen. Link.
[Update!]
Found a video of Vibe on YouTube. It's a live version of the song "He and She" (uploader's translation I guess) sung with Jang Hye-jin. It's a pretty, powerful ballad, that's on the duo's third album "Re-Feel". Cool.
Let's see. Out of the top ten albums the only one I own (purchased from the iTMS iTunes Store--yeah, I forgot that they sale video too) is John Mayer's "Continuum" which is number two. I don't own any of the top ten singles. Maybe it's time to change my music-listening habits. Nah.

Here's an example of one way blogging helps you. In my previous entry "For Lisa", I mentioned Dweezil and linked to a Wikipedia entry about the musician/actor. I have all of his solo albums (including 1986's out-of-print "Havin' a Bad Day" which is selling for US $64.68 on Amazon.com!) and after checking out that Wikipedia entry, I was surprised to find that he released a 2006 album called "Go With What You Know". Looks like it's also on sale at Amazon.com!
